As I write this update, hopefully the rain and wintery mix is finishing up outside ! We have received a few inches of rain and some slushy snow to add to the mix over the last week. This has left the golf course very wet and unplayable today. We will open up Thursday morning and start to get ready for our Men's Opening Day shotgun on Saturday. We will busy getting everything mowed out again and should have everything ready for play. You can expect the deep rough to be a little long and some wet spots where we can not mow yet. Also due to the inclement weather we are a little behind in getting some spots seeded and sodded where some tree stumps have been ground out. These areas will be ground under repair and clearly marked. Please do your best to stay out of these areas. We are planning to have most areas completed in a few weeks with a good stretch of weather on our side.
We also have placed the Cart signs throughout the course. We have some additional signage on order and will be receiving them soon. The basic plan will be for all Par 3's to be cart path only, the other holes will have "Return to Path" signs near the approaches with a white line painted directing carts back to the path. These signs will be moved periodically to disperse the cart wear around the important greens complexes. We will also be roping off highly sensitive areas like 17 approach to prevent damage to turf areas. New this year we will be offering a Handicap flag for you cart, if you feel you need one please see the Pro Shop and they can help.
Lets hope the next update doesn't mention wintery weather or excessive amounts of rain !! I look forward to seeing you all on the course!
