Summer has arrived in Northeast Ohio, bringing periods of oppressive heat, humidity, and dry weather. To protect the health of our golf course and promote the recovery and long-term quality of our greens, the following measures will be taken:
Greens Maintenance
A second aerification of the greens only, with cores removed, is scheduled for Monday, October 12 through Tuesday, October 13, 2026, weather permitting. The backup dates are Monday, October 19 through Tuesday, October 20, 2026. We anticipate that the greens will recover in approximately one week. These dates are being provided now so you can plan your play accordingly.
Irrigation and Pond Conditions You may have noticed that the water level in the pond on the left side of hole No. 1 is lower than usual. Two of the three primary pumps that feed the pond malfunctioned. One has been repaired and returned to service. The third will need to excavated, and its motor may require replacement. Until the system is fully operational, water will be used sparingly and directed to the most critical areas of the course. You may also notice soft conditions in select locations. Because of the current irrigation-system configuration, water can be distributed only by zone rather than selectively by individual sprinkler head, as is possible with more modern systems. This is just a temporary condition during long periods of dry weather when we have water, and our staff works hard to identify these areas to quickly mitigate the problem. Food and Beverage Ordering at the TurnGolf-cart users may have noticed new pop-up screens as you approach the tees on holes No. 8 and No. 9. These screens remind you to call food and beverage orders directly to the High Point Bar so they can be prepared for pickup at the turn. Using this service will help everyone maintain pace of play and avoid delays for the following groups. Menus for Grab & Go, the Grill Station on weekends, and the Pool Cafe are available through links in the Clubhouse app. Help Protect the CourseAs the golf season continues, please remember to:
